These maple walnut cookies feature North Coast Naturals Raw Hemp Smoothie, an all-natural, whole food protein powder that is rich in fibre, whole grains and super foods like spirulina.
The hemp protein not only adds nutrition, but also a delicious chocolate flavour with just the right amount of sweetness. This recipe is gluten-free and refined sugar-free thanks to the use of nutritions almond flour and pure maple syrup.
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1½ cups almond flour
- ¼ cup North Coast Naturals Raw Hemp Smoothie - Chocolate
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ⅛ cup walnut pieces
- ¼ cup chocolate chunks
- Preheat oven to 350.
- With an electric beater, cream together coconut oil, egg, vanilla and maple syrup.
- Add in remainder of dry ingredients, folding in the chocolate chunks and walnuts.
- Scoop tablespoons of the dough onto lined cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
